Retro meets Modern – An extraordinary screen installation at Inhorgenta 2024
A booth that pulsates from a distance: a wall of CRT monitors glowing like a mosaic. Up close: exquisite visual noise alongside razor-sharp product details. The contrast creates the stage – and the images.
Scene 1: The Wide Shot
Viewed from the aisle, the media wall becomes a sculpture. The irregularity appears deliberately composed. Practical tip: A slight counter-movement (stepping sideways) brings lines together and makes the wall “tilt” – photogenic.
Scene 2: The Close-up
Close-ups of CRT screens – the edge, the seam, the glow. Alongside, the modern product presentation. Two eras in one frame. This duality is perfect for web sliders or editorial layouts.
Scene 3: Interaction
When visitors become part of the wall, context is created. Movement interacting with movement. For social media, these frames are precisely what is needed: understandable in one second. You can also find more trade fair inspiration in the article Luxury & Design – Inhorgenta and in the Projects section.
Conclusion: Retro is not an effect – it is a narrative approach. In combination with clear content direction, an appearance is created that will be remembered.
