House of Bavarian History – Ois anders: Major Projects in Bavaria 1945–2020
The special exhibition “Ois anders – Major Projects in Bavaria 1945–2020” at the House of Bavarian History explores visionary construction projects, technological innovations, and social debates surrounding significant large-scale developments in Bavaria. My focus as a photographer was to capture the thoughtful exhibition design in expressive and atmospheric images.
Particularly fascinating was the documentary aspect of photographing the spatial scenography – observing how architecture, lighting, and multimedia elements interact to communicate complex content in an engaging way. The exhibition combines historical documents, interactive stations, and large-scale installations, which I captured from multiple perspectives in my images.
My photographs illustrate how design and spatial concept shape the visitor experience – from material selection and color design to the flow of movement through the space. This visual documentation not only serves as an archive, but also as an inspiration for designers, museums, and cultural institutions interested in innovative exhibition concepts.
