Price Transparency
What’s behind the price?
Professional photography is more than pressing a shutter. This page explains what goes into a commission — so you understand what you’re paying for and why the investment is worthwhile.
Effort breakdown
Where your investment goes.
Nearly half of the total effort goes into image selection and editing — that’s the difference between a snapshot and an image that represents your brand with impact.
Included in the price
What you get.

Exhibition photography
Why exhibitions are more demanding.
Exhibition photography places particular demands on technique and post-processing. Editing often takes more time than the shoot itself — and for good reason.
- Vastly different lighting conditions within a single room
- Very low light levels to protect light-sensitive exhibits
- Harsh contrasts between illuminated objects and dark spaces
- Reflections in display cases and glass covers
- Mixed light from multiple different sources
- High demands on colour accuracy for historical objects
“In an exhibition, I simply can’t change the lighting. I have to work with what’s there — and in post-processing, turn difficult shots into professional, usable images.”
Depending on the intended use, exhibition images need to be very “clean” — catalogues, academic publications, and press work have different requirements than social media. This significantly affects the editing effort involved.
Pricing factors
What influences the price.
Stand size & scope
Larger stands mean more shots, more images, and more editing. A 200 m² stand isn’t twice the effort of a 100 m² stand — but it’s significantly more.
Time on site
Early morning shoots, photography during fair operations, or evening appointments after closing — each time slot has its own demands.
Post-processing
Challenging lighting, high demands on colour accuracy, or clean editing for catalogues increases the editing effort — particularly for exhibition photography.
Delivery time
Standard delivery within 3–5 business days is included in the package price. Express delivery within 24 hours is available at an additional charge.
Location
Travel to Messe München is free of charge. For commissions outside Munich, a travel surcharge applies and is clearly stated in the quote.
Combined photo & film
Combining photo and film in one appointment is more efficient than two separate commissions — and generally less expensive than the sum of both individual prices.
For clarity
What is not included in the price.
- Travel costs outside Munich — transparently stated in the quote
- Accreditation fees if charged by the organiser
- Extensive compositing work or image montages on explicit request
- Express delivery under 24 hours — available at an additional charge
No hidden costs. All items beyond the package price are stated in the quote before the commission is confirmed. You decide whether to proceed — no surprises on the invoice.
The investment
Why professional photography is worth it.
An exhibition stand often costs €50,000 or more. Photography is a small fraction of that — and the only thing that lasts. Poor photos devalue a great stand. Great photos multiply its impact.
- Ready for press, website, social media, and pitches
- Documentation for internal communication and annual reports
- Foundation for the next stand builder tender
- Brand-consistent images strengthen brand perception
- One appointment — lasting value
“The stand is up for three days. The photos last for years. What would you rather have in the drawer — a few blurry phone snapshots or professional imagery you can use everywhere?”
